        Teen Classes

        Our Junior Chef Cooking Series are geared towards teens passionate about cooking and interested in acquiring some serious culinary techniques. Each class teens will explore a variety of flavors, with an emphasis on developing healthy eating habits, learning new techniques, and encouraging creativity in the kitchen ! PLEASE note these class are for mature teenagers (ages 11 to 17).           Jr chefs will learn the delicate and technique driven world of baking and pastry. During this week Jr culinary students will learn the precise art of bread baking, working with yeast, cakes, puff pastry, pate au choux, and many other baking and pastry recipes.

           

          Our culinary courses are for teenagers (and mature pre-teens!) passionate about cooking and interested in acquiring some serious skills in the kitchen. Each class, we explore a variety of flavors and cooking techniques. This class requires no prior experience. But by no means is this your typical make-pizza-and-ice-cream-sundaes kiddie "cooking" class!

          Julia famously quipped “in France, cooking is a serious art form and a national sport.” This is a technique driven class that will explore the art of French cooking. Students will focus on proper knife skills, explore the world of French gastronomy and discuss the importance of using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.
